How to kiss our feline friends and express your deep love

The right way to kiss our feline friends

Have you ever been scratched by your cats when you tried to kiss their lips? A lot of cat owners like to express their love by kissing their little kitties and expect a kiss back. However, the truth is  kissing a cat are more like kissing a tiger than a dog.

According to the opinions from Latisha, a professional animal keeper with 28-year working experience for the cat house, unlike dogs, cats don’t like mouth-to-mouth kiss with human. If they allow you to kiss their forehead, that already makes you a very intimate pal to them.  They may relax and enjoy your affectionate caressing only when they fully trust you.

Don’t mistake their intentions even if cats may sometimes lick your hands or face like what dogs do, or even touch your lips by their nose. That’s not a kiss in the world of cats. In fact, cats do nose-to-nose  touching all the time. This is just the way they clean and play with other cats and you. Therefore, don’t force your cats to kiss with you in the way they don’t understand. Watch out for their teeth and claws since they may protect themselves from your kiss.

So how do cats kiss with each other? Latisha disclosed the secret for me. Actually, cats express love through their eyes rather than a mouth-to-mouth kiss. They show their  trust and reliance on you by squinting towards you. So next time when you are enjoying a peaceful afternoon with you kitty cats, they stare at you, squint and slowly open their eyes again, you’ll suddenly find out that you’ve just got the sweet kiss that you’ve longed for from your little furry buddies.
